Caesars Race & Sportsbook @ Harrah's Cherokee

"Harrah's Cherokee Casinos are one step closer to sports betting with the recent agreement between the State of NC and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians. In the final steps of this process, the gaming compact will go to the US Department of the Interior before being published in the Federal Register. Harrah's Cherokee Casinos are excited and ready to receive sports fans in Murphy and Cherokee, NC upon final approval." The passage of senate bill 154 was the critical first step toward legal sports betting in North Carolina, however there are still steps that remain. As the gaming compact between North Carolina and the Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians is being amended, Harrah's Cherokee Casinos continue preparations to take those first bets on professional and collegiate sporting events. Construction of The Book at both casinos is underway, and key personnel have been hired. We look forward to announcing an official opening date in the near future.
